- Synthetic asset (tSYNTH): a token that tracks the value of a real-world reference without holding the underlying.
- Collateralisation ratio: the value of collateral backing a position relative to the synthetic minted against it.
- Optimistic oracle: a price reporter that assumes submitted values are correct unless disputed within a challenge window.
- Event-triggered synth: a synth minted against a discrete event; its collateral mix rebalances when the event resolves.
- Event reference: the oracle identifier and ancillary data, fixed at mint, that name a synth's event and its resolution source.
- Collateral basket: the multi-asset collateral backing an event-triggered synth, held as target weights.
- Rebalance: shifting a synth's collateral mix toward the pre-committed target for a resolved event outcome, within bounds set at mint.
- Keeper: anyone who triggers a rebalance (or liquidation) for a reward, posting a bond to do so.
- Liquidity provider (LP): someone who deposits tokens into a pool to enable trading and earn fees.
- Liquidity mining: earning $TRANT rewards for staking LP tokens.
- Bond: lending capital to the protocol for discounted $TRANT that vests over time.
